General Director of IDGC of North-West, JSC Alexander Kukhmay  (at the picture) is a participant of the “Electric grid property at Russian regions. Modernization, investments, innovations” open partnership conference for electric energy industry enterprises.

The conference took place on 25 February 2010 in Saint-Petersburg under initiation of the Russian Federation State Duma Federal Assembly.
Representative of authority bodies, directors of regional energy companies, energy equipment producers, project and building companies discuss issues of electric grid property modernization. Konstantin Zaytsev, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Electric Energy Sector under the State Duma is among the participants.

Alexander Kukhmay represents the North-West region grid complex at the conference. In his performance, Alexander Kukhmay provided the information on state of “IDGC Holding”, JSC distribution grid complex in general, and particularly on IDGC of North-West, JSC. He pointed out tasks and prospective of technical re-equipment.

“For development of the electric energy grid complex, we need implementation of technical re-equipment. Business obtain free funds. State proposes several initiatives in this field. Nevertheless, we need strict mechanisms to allow for realization of electric grid complex modernization program, - stressed Alexander Kukhmay. – IDGC of North-West, JSC has the task to reduce fixed assets depreciation by 50% by the year 2020. Modernization requires approximately RUR 199 billion”.

State authorities representatives actively participated in discussion. Several initiatives have been voiced. Particularly, the Committee for Electric Energy Sector under the State Duma is ready to propose an initiative regarding investment renovation state program.
